Our Story
NoCo Outdoors started with a few friends trying to make it easier to plan hikes and kayak trips. We then thought it would be great to share outdoor gear too, passing along what we didn’t need and finding what we did at low cost. From there, the idea grew into something bigger: a friendly, inclusive community built around shared time in nature.
Today, we’re a low-cost membership group offering all kinds of outdoor and social events, plus access to a gear exchange platform. Members can join specialty groups like biking or travel, or even start their own. You can host events, suggest new ones, or just show up and have fun.
At NoCo Outdoors, everyone has a voice. We’re here to support each other, learn new skills, and get healthier together in a way that feels good and easy.

Our mission is to build an inclusive outdoor community in Northern Colorado that supports your health and lifestyle goals. We aim to remove barriers like cost, confidence, or lack of gear, and create real opportunities for connection, growth, and joy. We value all voices and treat people and the environment with care and respect.
Our Future
We want to be a local hub where people from all walks of life can enjoy the outdoors. We’re not trying to be a big company. We’re here to stay small, rooted, and connected to our neighbors in Fort Collins and nearby communities, offering simple and meaningful ways to get outside together.
